You send us a list about your designated topics or events that you want to illustrate or concrete scenes. If this material is available, you rapidly receive a DVD or VHS with a time-code in the picture. After your haven choosen your favoured scenes we send you broadcast standard material on base of your submitted time-codes.

How do I order film material?
Is it possible to make an appointment for a personal screening in your archive?
For long-term and extensive productions it is of course possible to get an individual appointment for a screening in Potsdam-Babelsberg.
How much are the costs for the licensing of film material?
Prizes and rights of use are related to the length and the type of the used materials: Duration of use (for example 7 years), application area (for example Europe), type of use (for example TV, Internet or DVD). Prices per second start at € 5, up to € 50. In case of an order we calculate at least 30 seconds.
How much are the technical costs?
Technical costs including the research and material for your screening up to a maximum of 10 minutes of broadcasting standard material (Beta, SP or equal) are available at an average amount of € 160,00. Research and material for your screening without an order afterwards for an average amount of € 50,00. Postage and packing, as well as a courier are calculated separately.

What kind of formats can I order at the CHRONOS-Filmarchiv?
Basically we are able to deliver almost all formats: 35 mm, 16 mm, 8 mm, Beta-HD, Beta-SP, Beta digital, DV-Cam, Mini-DV etc. For HD-sampling/scanning or coping of film material we calculate extra costs. You can ask for the exact costs of these services via email or phone.
Are you supporting socio-political or historical important projects with film material?
We support important projects with film material free of charge or with high reduction on our prices. We do charge technical costs. Assumption: The Project is dependent on support. We decide on a by-case basis.
How and when do I get access to the online-archiv shop?
In the end of the year 2008 we provide the first user-accesses to our Chronos-data-base. In short term it is possible to make online-researches and in mid-term it will be also possible to download material.
How can I order and pay CHRONOS-Documentations (DVD/VHS)?
You can order in our online shop or write us a mail. Payment is following after you received the invoice from us. Use the account at the “Deutsche Bank AG” mentioned above. Credit card and paypal are not accepted at the time.
How much discount do I receive as DVD-Reseller?
In this case we arrange individual conditions. Depending on the amount and type of our business relationship we offer 30 – 40 %
How much are the costs for an ordered production?
Prices for ordered productions (TV-Documentary, Jubilee-Film etc.) are connected to the length of the feature and other factors. An individual dialogue in preposition is indispensable.
